Public Art Around Boston

OUR VISION

The impact of art across all aspects of civic life in Boston is strengthened by access to culture in every community, institution, and public space. The Boston Art Commission, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture, commissions and approves public artworks that engage communities and directly respond to, enrich, and enliven the urban environment, fostering the stewardship of artworks which respond to the people, ideas, histories, and futures of Boston on the traditional homeland of the Massachusett people and the home of the neighboring Wampanoag and Nipmuc peoples.
